March 2026 Newsletter Print

Member Spotlight

We’re excited to introduce a new feature in our newsletter - the Member Spotlight. Each month, we’ll take a moment to highlight one of the incredible individuals who make our Chapter so special. From their unique stories and experiences to the ways they contribute, inspire, and connect with others, this is our chance to get to know the people behind the names a little better. We hope this feature not only celebrates our members, but also strengthens the sense of connection that makes our Chapter such a meaningful organization.

Michelle Foreman, MBA, CPCU

Member since 2018

Michelle sought her CPCU designation while serving as the Director of Sales at The Institutes 2017-2020.  At hire, she had no idea what a CPCU was, but as she began promoting the designation and understanding the weight of having this credential, she jumped into her first big blue book!  During the long hours of study, she was motivated by leading a sales team of CPCUs guided by her manager, who was also a CPCU.  Michelle did not want to be the “odd person out”! She learned the overall rigorous details of each of the courses were a tremendous help in building upon her foundation as a Commercial Lines Producer.  It helped to understand the nuances and complexity of insurance from the insured, insurer, agent, and carrier’s perspectives as well.

Michelle’s primary interests in the industry are Risk Management, Property & Casualty, Cyber, and Life Insurance. She is actively seeking a new role to build on her 23+ years of sales/sales leadership experience, of which 7 years are in insurance.

A word of advice? Be ready for one of the most rigorous but rewarding experiences you will have in your life.  The feeling of pride and accomplishment you have when finishing this puppy is second to none. Stay the course, pace yourself and DONT EVER GIVE UP!  There are so many rewarding paths and career opportunities that I wish more high school and college students would consider a career in insurance – and obviously, become a CPCU!

Take a break: Michelle loves all genres of music and likes following podcasts by the global award-winning insurance distribution expert, Alexis Cierra Vaughn, while enjoying a cup of TAO Passion Hot Tea.
